Role:
The primary role of this position is to make a difference in
our neighbors’ lives. This is accomplished by providing
the highest quality of service to both internal and external
members. In addition, directs the selection and recruitment of
qualified personnel for the Credit Union; and provide administrative
support to the Human Resources department in a variety of areas
to include HRIS system maintenance, training and development.
Major Duties and Responsibilities: (E) Essential or (N) Nonessential
30% Provide assistance in developing, facilitating, and scheduling
any internal training programs as needed to include the development
of lesson plans, and/or tests or tools to measure comprehension.

20% Provide outstanding service to each internal and external
member as defined by our Service Standards and Promises. (E)

Direct the selection and recruitment of employees; interview
candidates and provide direction to managers about the interview
process; administer appropriate proficiency test to job applicants,
ensuring that proper interviewing and testing practices are utilized
in the hiring process; develop relationships with external employment
sources. (E)
5% Coordinate and conduct new hire orientation. (E)

Maintain knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to employment,
particularly those which affect the hiring and placement process.

5% Provide HR information necessary to answer general credit
union policy questions or clarify benefit use. (E)
5% Complete
required checks on prospective new hires, including bondability,
references, background, credit and personal references. (E)

Promote employee relations by providing input and guidance on
the interpretation of policies as they relate to employees
and the credit union's objectives. Assist in developing HR related
communications and services to all staff. (E)
5% Provide live helpdesk
support to front and back office departments. Assist all employees
with training and development needs. (E)
5% Communicate updates
to staff regarding openings, new hires, promotions, etc. (E)

Expectations:
- Provide outstanding service

- To process applicant and new hire
information with accuracy.
- Provide monthly reports on status
on recruitment efforts and miscellaneous department activity.
- To
assist in planning and delivery of training programs that fit
the credit union's need.
- Maintain in-depth understanding
of credit union products, services, policies and procedures,
as an understanding of the credit union's mission.
- Maintain
positive attitude; encourage credit union service standards.
- Continually expand knowledge and develop skills to enhance
training skills and general knowledge of human resources.
Knowledge
and Skills:
Experience: Two years to five years of similar
or related experience.
Education: A college degree. Interpersonal
Skills: The ability to motivate or influence others is a material
part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy
and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally)
is an important part of the job.
Other Skills: Working knowledge
of employment and interviewing practices. Excellent oral and
written communication skills; ability to express ideas and
procedures clearly and concisely; ability to work with highly
confidential information. Knowledge and proficient use of computer
applications to include spreadsheet and word processing programs;
excellent organizational skills; must be detail-oriented.
