Brightstar Credit Union Executive Raffael Crockett Selected To Serve On The Southeast Corporate Credit Union Supervisory Committee

Sunrise, FL – May 10, 2006 – Credit Union executive Raffael “Ralph” Crockett, President and Chief Executive Officer of BrightStar Credit Union, one of the largest credit unions in South Florida with more than 37,000 members, has been selected to serve on the Southeast Corporate Credit Union Supervisory Committee.

With more than 400+ credit union members, Southeast Corporate provides comprehensive services and solutions to credit unions across the U.S. Crockett joins a leadership team that is comprised of credit union CEOs from across the southeastern U.S. Southeast Corporate is a dynamic organization with an increasing array of products and services for credit unions, and have a breadth and depth of expertise in its senior management team that is one of the best in the country.

Crockett, a resident of Pembroke Pines, has more than 20 years experience in the credit union and banking industries in South Florida and has served as BrightStar Credit Union’s President and CEO for the past six years.  He has enjoyed a longstanding career in the credit union industry that includes the National Credit Union Administration.  He attended Mississippi State University and Rust College, and is a 1984 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Rust with a degree in Business Administration and Accounting.
