BSCU Recognizes BRACE Scholarship Recipient
Fort Lauderdale, FL—August 13, 2004—High
school graduate Ruth Davis is one step closer to managing her
college financial obligations after being presented with a 4-year
BRACE Golden Opportunity Award Scholarship, sponsored by Broward
Schools Credit Union.
Ms. Davis, a 2004 graduate of Piper High School in Sunrise,
will major in Business at Florida International University.
“We’re pleased to recognize the hard work and accomplishments
of Ms. Davis” said Ralph Crockett, CEO of Broward Schools
Credit Union. “We’ve been a partner with the Broward
Educational system for 57 years and we’re proud to support
the BRACE Scholarships.”
BRACE, the Broward Advisors for Continuing Education Program,
is unique to the Broward County School System. In addition to
awarding scholarships to qualifying students to pursue a post
secondary education, BRACE advisors work with the guidance counselors
to provide students with information on Scholarships, Financial
Aid and the College Application
