Yes, you must be or become a credit union member to take part in this promotion and receive a certificate. If you are not a member, you can apply online or stop into one of our several branch locations for membership.

You can be eligible by depositing $20,000 or more into a consumer checking or savings account, and by having direct deposit active with $1,000 deposited monthly.
A member or joint owner cannot receive more than one (1) cruise certificate (1 certificate is valid for 2 persons) during the promotion. If two members share accounts, they will not each receive a cruise certificate.
A recipient of the certificate must be 18 years or older. The certificate will be delivered to the primary account owner; this member must also be in good standing with the credit union.
You will receive your certificate by mail with all the details regarding your cruise vacation.
The certificate will be mailed to the primary address that is on record for the credit union member. You can view your address in Online Banking and make any updates or changes if needed. BrightStar Credit Union is not responsible for packages that are mailed to a wrong address.
By accepting the cruise certificate, you are assuming sole responsibility for your own safety onboard and in any port of call. BrightStar Credit Union is not responsible nor liable for any injury, damage or death to you or any member of your party in connection with the cruise or any elected shore excursions.
Your Cruise Certificate entitles you and your spouse, or guest, to a 5 Day/4 Night Cruise Vacation for Two to Mexico, the Bahamas, or the Western Caribbean aboard a Luxury Super Liner Cruise Ship on Carnival, Royal Caribbean or other major cruise lines. Your vacation includes a beautiful interior stateroom with a king-size bed or two twins (based on double occupancy), all onboard gourmet meals and snacks, 24-hour complimentary room service, dozens of exciting shipboard activities, a wide range of nightly entertainment and fabulous ports to visit and shop.
Cruise Certificate recipients are responsible for port charges, taxes, and daily fees. Travel, gratuities, as well as different activities onboard are at the member's expense.
Cruise recipients must register their cruise certificate within 45 days of receiving the vacation package. (Please note, once the certificate is registered, it can no longer be transferred to another recipient). Traveler(s) have 18 months from the issue date to book and complete the cruise.
Certificate recipients will choose from over 175 sailing dates, with varied itineraries; dates will typically exclude holiday or peak periods (March 1 - August 30) unless the traveling member wants to upgrade or find other alternative dates for an additional cost. There are also some extended 6 day to 8 day cruises available.
You get a beautiful interior stateroom aboard a luxury cruise ship. Although not as large as a traditional room on land, they are very tastefully decorated, and include amenities such as 24-hour complimentary room service and a pampering staff dedicated to meet your needs.
Yes. You can upgrade at an additional cost at the traveler's expense to a higher deck, an ocean view stateroom, an outside stateroom with a balcony, a mini or large suite, or a family cabin that sleeps 4 people. There will be an additional upgrade fee to cover the cost difference, based upon the port of departure, travel dates, cruise line, cruise ship and itinerary selected. All upgrades are subject to availability.
Yes. Your cruise certificate can be extended up to an 8 Day/7 Night Cruise Vacation, at a special rate. Any extended cruise is subject to availability based on port of departure, travel dates, cruise line, cruise ship, itinerary, and room allocations.
Miami, Port Canaveral, Jacksonville, Los Angeles, New Orleans and Galveston. Other ports are occasionally offered and may be subject to a surcharge.
You can bring additional cruise guests and they will receive special group rate pricing for an additional cost at the traveler's expense. Kids or guests in the same stateroom are usually at a significantly discounted rate. Larger family staterooms are available for an additional fee. Full information regarding upgrade availability and pricing will be available after receiving and registering your cruise certificate.
Yes. Cruise certificates are transferable, prior to registration, at no additional cost. Cruise recipients must complete registration within 45 days of receiving their cruise package in the mail; once registration is completed, the cruise cannot be gifted or transferred to another party.
