What is the BrightStar Ambassador Program?

The BrightStar Ambassador Program is a partnership between BrightStar Credit Union and school staff. Ambassadors help promote financial wellness in their school community and earn rewards for their school with each new BrightStar membership they refer.

How much does my school earn per referral?

$100 per new referred BrightStar membership with direct deposit is paid to your school through Broward Education Foundation in partnership with BrightStar Credit Union.

What is the $500 sign-on stipend?

When your school enrolls in the Ambassador Program, it receives a one-time $500 stipend at the beginning of the program — before any referrals are made.

Do I need to be a BrightStar member to be an Ambassador?

We encourage ambassadors to be BrightStar members so you can speak firsthand about the benefits, but it's not strictly required to enroll. If you're not a member yet, we can help you join.

How are the funds distributed to my school?

Referral rewards are paid through the Broward Education Foundation, which distributes the funds to your school's designated account for use in programs and initiatives.

What counts as a qualifying referral?

A qualifying referral is a new BrightStar Credit Union membership that includes setting up direct deposit. The referred person must identify you or your school as the referral source.

Is there a limit to how many referrals I can make?

No. There's no cap on referrals. The more members you refer, the more your school earns. Every qualifying referral generates $100 for your school.
